Centre for Opportunities and Rural Development (CORD Ghana) is a non-governmental organization registered with the Registrar General’s Department under the Company act, 2019 (Act 992) as a not-for-profit Organization.
CORD’s objective is to empower rural communities to develop sustainable solutions for the developmental challenges in communities. Using the approach of empowerment programs (skill training), research, advocacy, and community development in the areas of environment, agriculture, and rural development.Rural communities build resilience while adapting to developmental issues. CORD works in partnership with marginalized communities, state and non-state agencies to eliminate poverty and enhance rural communities’ access to basic necessities of life.

To create an enabling environment and programs both in schools and community centers for talent development.
To promote education in the community especially in the rural areas where most children do not have access to basic education.
To promote sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation through targeted community campaigns and education programs.
To promote agricultural innovation and sustainable practices to enhance food security and environmental conservation in rural communities.
