Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs)

The CORD Village Savings and Loans Association empowers rural women, youth, and smallholder farmers to build financial resilience from within their own communities with emphasis on green financing. Through self-managed savings groups, members pool weekly contributions, access low-interest loans, and invest in farms, small businesses, and green enterprises.
Beyond savings, we provide training in financial literacy, record keeping, business development, and climate-smart livelihoods. Our VSLA model fosters trust, discipline, and collective growth, helping families escape cycles of debt and dependency.
