CORD TREE PARTY

The CORD Tree Party with the tagline Restoring Degraded lands-Conserving Ecosystems is a vibrant, community-driven environmental celebration that turns tree planting into a movement of joy, music, and collective action. More than just an event, it brings together youth, traditional leaders, schools, and local families to plant indigenous and economic trees while raising awareness on climate change, deforestation, and environmental stewardship.

Each Tree Party combines education with entertainment, featuring live performances, green exhibitions, inter-community planting competitions, and naming ceremonies for planted trees to encourage long-term care, ownership and sustainability. Since its inception, the initiative has mobilized thousands of volunteers to restore degraded lands, promote green jobs, and build a culture where every Ghanaian sees planting and nurturing a tree as both a civic duty and a celebration of life
