GREEN SCHOOL INITIATIVE (GSI)

The CORD Green School Initiative (GSI) is empowering the next generation of environmental leaders by turning schools into hubs of sustainability. We partner with basic, secondary schools and tertiary institutions across Ghana to establish school gardens, tree nurseries, waste segregation systems, and green-clubs led by students.
Through hands-on training, we teach learners climate literacy, recycling and upcycling, tree planting and care, and green entrepreneurship. Schools compete in our annual Green School Challenge, earning recognition as models of environmental excellence.
