Pan-African Youth Union (PYU)

The Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) serves as the apex, single continental organ coordinating National Youth Councils (NYCs) and equivalent platforms across all 54 member states of the African Union (AU). As the official specialized focal body of the African Union Commission on youth affairs, the PYU acts as the central structural bridge driving youth mainstreaming, regional integration, socioeconomic empowerment, and policy dialogue aligned to AU Agenda 2063. It transitions youth participation from traditional tokenism into structural, legal, and operational governance mechanisms.
